DUI:  No Judgment, Just Help

We all make mistakes.

The consequences of facing a DUI vary depending on the Blood Alcohol Level (BAC). A DUI offense carries penalties, which include: fines, fees, and surcharges, license suspension, ignition interlock device, jail time, and community service.

For first offenses, penalties can include license suspension for one year with fines up to $4,000, 30 days in prison, 12-48 hours at the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC), ignition interlock device during license suspension and for an additional one year following restoration.

For repeated DUI convictions fines and penalties become more severe. Second-timers face up to $4,500 in fines, loss of license for two years, 90 day jail time, 30 days of community service, IDRC, and an ignition interlock device up to three years following restoration.

Third-time offenses face a $6,000 fine, loss of license for 10 years, prison sentence up to 180 days with 90 days of community service, 12-48 hours of IDRC, and the ignition interlock device one to three years following restoration. If caught driving with a DUI suspension offenders can face an additional one to two years of license loss with fines up to $1,250, and jail time for 90 days.

Driving under the influence charges happen to all kinds of people. That is why The Law Offices of Lynda L. Hinkle understand people should not be judged based on one decision they made. Let us help you minimize the damaging consequences and navigate the system so you can put the past and guilt behind you in order to start fresh and avoid making the same mistake again.
