I recently had a consult ask me, why should I go with your firm as opposed to others? Here’s why:

1.  We are responsive. Some firms will not get back to you for weeks. My goal is to always be responsive within 1 business day, often sooner even if the answer is “there’s nothing new to report” because I understand that the kind of work we do is full of anxiety for people and they need to know that their matter is being paid attention to and that they aren’t missing anything.
2. We are realistic.  I have no interest in churning my bill. I will charge you for the work I do but I will not try to add work in just to pad my pockets for things that aren’t in your best interest.
3. We have a great staff that cares! Our team is packed with people who have experienced life and their own challenges and are compassionate and willing to go the extra mile.  This isn’t just a lawyer driven firm, we all work together to support our clients.
4. We are knowledgeable and led by experienced professionals.  I have 16 years under my belt and I can assure you nothing you can tell me is going to shock me!
5. We are a largely virtual firm – although we have staff at our two locations so you can drop things off, pick things up etc., we aren’t going to make you take off work or get child care every time you want to talk to your attorney. Phone, zoom, email – we try to make this process as convenient as possible for you (other than court which is out of our control).
6. We are trauma informed.  It’s important to us to approach clients experiencing traumatic events in a way that tries to lessen and not increase harm.
7. We care about diversity and inclusion.  If you are LGBTQia+, a person of color, have a religion or national origin that make you feel vulnerable in some settings, or need special accommodations in any way we are a firm that cares about making sure we pay attention to inclusion and respect for who you are and your unique needs.
